Adult Dogwood

Seabird Adult Education under Seabird Island Community School (Adult Education Program) provides courses which are part of the BC Adult Graduation Diploma program. Adults who have not graduated may take courses leading to the British Columbia Adult Graduation Diploma (the Adult Dogwood).

  • Full-time study from Monday to Friday,
    8:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m. Limited seating available!
  • Start Date: September 11th, 2023
  • Courses run in semesters

To graduate with a BC Adult Dogwood students must have 20 credits which includes: Language Arts 12, Math 11 & three Grade 12 electives.

Courses we are offering:

Mandatory courses (8 credits):

  • English 12 (4 credits)
  • Mathematics 11 course: Foundations 11 (4 credits)

Electives (4 credits):

  • Anatomy & Physiology 12 (4 credits)

Did you know…

Train in Trades (Trades Sampler) is recent new addition to the Adult Dogwood program held in partnership with Seabird Island Community School and University of the Fraser Valley. Students gain basic introductory technical knowledge and hands on experience in a number of Industrial Trades.

Some of the trades are Automotive, Plumbing & Piping, Heavy Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Carpentry & Culinary Arts. Certifications are included as well!
